AI in ERP: start with the exceptions, not the transactions

ERP transactions are already deterministic. Posting a matched invoice, confirming a production order, running payroll: the system knows the happy path. The time disappears in the exception. A vendor GSTIN that does not match. A document nobody can find. A variance a planner explains in a spreadsheet at 11pm.
That is where Srizon uses AI. Velos flags tax and match exceptions before payment. iDMS classifies a document and links it to the transaction so a person confirms fields instead of filing blindly. ADIYAS turns a reporting question into a query on the sources you already run, and opens the answer as a workbook. Crora runs the same class of question across 10 crore records when the history no longer fits a sheet. Background verification assembles a case file so HR reviews judgement, not paperwork.
None of these replace the transaction in SAP. They shorten the work that starts when the transaction cannot finish itself. That is also why the integration is real-time and standard: BAPIs, OData, IDocs, ArchiveLink. A clever layer on a nightly file will recreate the exception you were trying to remove.
If a proposed AI use case does not name the queue, the document or the question your team already handles by hand, it is not ready. Start there. Measure the manual touches you removed. Leave the core process in the system that already audits it.
